Darryl Lee

Chair of the Board

Darryl joined Manchester Maccabi 30 years ago just wanting to play football……!! In 2000 he, with others, started the Brooklands project which culminated with the club being opened by Sir Bobby Charlton in 2006. Since that time Darryl has been an active fund raiser putting on all sorts of events and came back as chair of the club in 2018 . Darryl has also been very active in amateur football and has managed Maccabi GB at various age levels 5 times in various international Maccabi games. In his spare time he is a football referee and is a cryptic crossword and quiz fan-he won the Weakest Link a number of years ago. None of this would have been possible without the support of his wife Vicky and daughters Hannah and Katie. He was awarded an MBE in November 2019 for services to the Jewish Community and other Charities.
